These Triple Chip Grind
general purpose table saw blades will give you almost the same cut
as the Alternating Top Bevel models, but since they don't rely on
the ATB pointed teeth, they will give you those clean cuts longer.
And they're preferable for cutting very hard wood and man-made
composites such as particle board and MDF, and for cutting plastics
thicker than about 3/8". The models with
a -5º hook are ideal for cutting pre-formed, laminated counter
tops.
These are workhorse blades every
high-volume wood shop needs. And with the variety of sizes and tooth
counts, you'll find a model for cutting everything from timbers to hardwood
moulding.
Blades
designated by the prefix GTM have Micro-Sheen C-4 sub-micron
carbide tips, which provide a longer tool life. The blades designated by the
prefix GTL have laser cuts in the body to help reduce noise. |

Notes
*With their negative hook design and with
the use of Micro-Sheen sub-micron tips the GTM1610, GTM1612, GTM1810,
and GTM1812 are excellent for cutting pre-formed counter tops.
** With the negative hook design of this
blade it would be a good choice for a miter saw or radial arm and for
the occasional cutting of light non-ferrous metals, such as aluminum
