Tenryu has answered the challenge by adapting two of their most popular miter saw blades to fit your Kapex saw. The 72 tooth model is from their Silencer Series, with resin filled, laser cut vibration damping slots and shear face grind ATAF teeth for smooth, quiet and super-clean cuts.

The 80 tooth super-finish blade is from Tenryu's highly regarded Miter Pro Plus line, considered by many to be the best miter saw blades on the market. Extra-fine honing of fine grain carbide makes for even smoother cuts and the ATAFR configuration adds a cut-clearing flat-top raker to the mix so you'll get great cuts even in thicker materials.

Tenryu Introduces Blades That Make Your Plunge-Cut Saw Many Times More Versatile! Now You Can Cut Melamine, Laminate Flooring, Plastic and Aluminum Sheets With Confidence

A plunge-cut saw can be your best friend on the job site, handling what's too big for your miter and too awkward to cut with your portable table saw. But can it handle the variety of materials you need to cut?

It can now, thanks to Tenryu and 5 years of R&D. They've developed a line-up of special blades for these saws, with resin-filled vibration damping slots, PTFE coating to reduce pitch build-up and friction. In the table below you'll notice different tooth configurations for different materials, too - each one chosen as the best for the job. And all are high-grade carbide.

The 160 mm blades below will work well on several brands of plunge-cut saw, whether it's identified as 160 mm, 6-14" or 6-1/2" as long as it has a 20 mm arbor. The 210 mm blades will fit any brand called 210 mm or 8-1/4". But then, who besides Festool makes one?

(Please note the PSW-16052CB2TK is an ultra-thin blade, requiring a thinner riving knife if your saw has one. There's one included in the package for the Festool TS55, it may or may not fit another make.)
